About Us

Who we are & what we do

Why choose AGA?

We have the gameplan!

Better competitive experience

Our organization is relaxed/competitive. The gymnasts have fun at our meets, they cheer for the other teams, and coaches help each other out. We’re here for one purpose and that’s for the girls.

Constant improvement

Have your girls constantly LOOK FORWARD to improve and show their progress through fun meets with healthy competition.

Off season alternative

Stuck with off-season actives or rather lack of them? AGA members never have to worry about that

Increase Retention

Being a part of AGA is a proven avenue to retain girls all the way through high school

Our History

American Gymnastics Association has been a working association for over 40 years. It was created to give athletes alternatives in competitive gymnastics. One where each athlete can feel successful at any level

There was only one division with multiple levels at its creation. AGA quickly realized that this could not fit the needs of all gymnasts. This lead to the creation of new divisions with different criteria for scoring

AGA has recently developed a special division to enable recreational gymnasts with the opportunity to compete

AGA currently has teams completing from Pasadena, TX to Altus, OK. Some of our founding fathers are Dick Freeman, Gary Ton, Rudy Magdealeno, Bo White, Ben Whitfill, Tony Northrup, Lorenzo Martinez, Wayne Thompson, Joe Cronin, Marsha Mayo, along with many on our current Board.
