Ashleigh Benton was born and raised in Lufkin, Texas. She graduated from Lufkin High School with honors in 2007. Ashleigh always had a passion for gymnastics. She started when she was 3 years old and continued all the way into high school. She believes gymnastics is beneficial for kids of all ages. It helps their confidence, self esteem, overall fitness and teaches them important life lessons. In 2012 she followed her life long dream and opened up her own gymnastics facility, Tall Timbers Gymnastics. Ashleigh’s coaches started competing in AGA when she was about in middle school and she remembers loving the change. Therefore, when she started her own competitive Team at Tall Timbers Gymnastics, at least a decade later, in 2013 she knew she wanted to be a part of AGA again.

What she loves most about AGA is the friendly environment. It’s so positive for the kids and truly feels like one big family. She has served on the board for many years now and enjoys being apart of its growth, development and success.
