Marsha Mayo was born in Arkansas, but she moved to Arlington, Texas when she was 5 years old. She has always had a love for fostering the next generation, holding several dancing certifications and teaching at many schools and colleges in her area. Marsha started her illustrious coaching career in 1982, when her oldest daughter, who was small for her age, wanted to find an activity compatible with smaller people. Gymnastics, it was.

When her daughter found a home at Aerials, Marsha did, too, as she started working the gym's preschool and cheerleading classes. This ignited one of the most storied careers in AGA, setting off 40 years of coaching excellence. Marsha has served as the President of AGA, an AGA Board member and worn many other hats in the organization, all while running the Arlington Aerials. She has amassed many accolades in her career, but her proudest accomplishments are her ability to keep gymnasts in the gym and winning the Spirit Of AGA Award. In her spare time, she enjoys snorkeling, scuba diving and gardening.
